Bite registration tray
is a dental device used to record how a patient's upper and lower teeth come together (their occlusion). It helps dentists and dental labs accurately replicate the patient’s bite when creating crowns, bridges, dentures, night guards, or orthodontic appliances.
🦷 Purpose:
Capture the occlusal relationship between maxillary (upper) and mandibular (lower) teeth.
Ensure restorations (like crowns or dentures) align properly in the mouth.
Aid in the diagnosis and treatment planning for bite-related issues.
📦 Types of Bite Registration Trays:
Full Arch Trays: Capture bite across the entire arch (all teeth).
Anterior Trays: Designed for front teeth.
Posterior : capture the bite in the back of the mouth (the molars and premolars), either on one or both sides
Quadrant : Record bite for one Quadrant (Upper right, lower left, etc)
